Auditor Mingo Announces Strong Fundraising Progress
COLUMBUS — The Citizens for Mingo campaign announced it has raised $134,500 in 2018 and has over $101,000 on hand in support of Auditor Clarence Mingo’s reelection coming out of the July 31 reporting deadline. Behind that strong support are some 250 individual donors who believe in Auditor Mingo’s success as county auditor.
“The support Auditor Mingo has received is a testament to his innovative and untiring work for the taxpayers of Franklin County and his character as a servant leader,” said campaign manager Steve Ewing. “Moving into the final few months of the campaign, we look forward to building on his financial support and engaging with voters in every community.”
Auditor Mingo has won awards for modernizing the county auditor’s office, used technology to put the resources and data of his office at citizens’ fingertips, and returned millions of dollars to county taxpayers and school districts, including $10.2 million just this week. He was appointed county auditor in 2009, elected in 2010, and reelected in 2014.
A Persian Gulf War combat veteran, Clarence Mingo earned his baccalaureate and law degrees from The Ohio State University, served Central Ohio families as a guardian ad litem, and is husband to his wife, Angela, and father to daughters Annalise and Ava.
